Privacy Policy

Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre (“the Centre”) is concerned to ensure that any personal information submitted to the Centre’s website are handled in strict adherence to the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). 

Information the Centre collects

  • The Centre may collect various types of personal information (such as email address, name and contact number) from you in connection with the provision of services, activities and facilities, including but not limit to event application and registration, e-newsletter subscription, payment, following up on enquiries, conducting customer surveys, job application and/ or employment-related issues and contractor management or other purposes as stated below.
  • Your visit to the Centre’s website will be collected through Google Analytics anonymously without collecting any personal identifiable information of users. 
  • The Centre may combine information you provide to us through various channels, such as online channels like websites, or offline channels like physical application forms. 
  • Individuals who are aged under 18 must have parental consent before providing any personal information to the Centre.

Purposes of collecting and keeping personal information

The Centre collects, uses and keeps personal information for the following purposes:

  • Processing and fulfilling your request for services;
  • Contacting you regarding the services you requested;
  • Delivery of information that you requested or subscribed;
  • Notifying you of changes to our services that may affect you;
  • Responding to and follow up on your enquiries;
  • Promotion of latest services and activities of the Centre;
  • Conducting statistical analysis, research, surveys, quality assurance and review;
  • Processing your job application and/or employment-related issues;
  • Improvement of our services;
  • Other purposes directly relating to any of the above.

Confidentiality and security

  • The Centre’s website uses the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to protect the personal data you submitted.
  • We restrict the access of personal information to who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you, or to perform the purposes as stated above, or for purposes which are directly related to the discharge of the Centre’s functions, including the Centre’s employees, helpers, and other organisations, agencies and persons in or outside Hong Kong who are engaged by the Centre.
  • Unless permitted or required by law, the Centre will not send any information collected above to any third party, for a purpose other than the purposes for which the data is collected, or which are not directly related to the discharge of the Centre’s functions without your prior consent.

Data access request should be made by completing and submitting the Data Access Request Form. A reasonable fee will be charged for the processing of any data access request.

If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version of this Statement, the English version shall prevail.

Personal Information Collection Statement

This is a personal data collection statement of Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre (“the Centre”) made under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“the Ordinance”).

  • Unless otherwise specified, provision of personal data marked with asterisks is mandatory. In the event that you do not provide such personal data, we will not be able to provide you with our products or services. Failure to provide the relevant personal data will render the Centre unable to perform the relevant functions, such as unable to process your application or request for services.
